Inspired by the Mexican holiday, Dia de Los Muertos, our Day of the Dead celebration is a public event open to the entire community. At the event, we celebrate alongside Pittsburgh’s Latino and Spanish speaking community with food, live music, crafts and family friendly activities. This year’s celebration will be on October 29th at The Shop in Homewood from 1-4 PM.

Join La Escuelita's efforts to recycle, reuse, and reimagine our jardín fence! We want to beautify our outdoor space, demonstrate our creativity, and paint the neighborhood with #coloresdelmundo.
We are looking for a group of parents to take over the project and help us complete our vision. This would be a great way to get the community involved while also promoting La Escuelita. If you have any desire to help, whether that be organizing the collection of bottle caps, coming up with a design, or directing the project, please don't hesitate to contact us! This would also be redeemable for volunteer hours and a great way to spend time with other families of La Escuelita!
